Online Therapy for Midlife Women in Oregon and Idaho
I am Wende Wolfe, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Oregon and Idaho. I work exclusively with adult women, providing outpatient mental health counseling via telehealth, with limited in-person sessions in Central Point, Oregon.
All therapy services are provided within my professional scope and follow state and ethical guidelines for clinical practice.
I help adult women—particularly those in midlife and perimenopause—who no longer feel like themselves move from anxiety, overwhelm, isolation, and exhaustion toward greater self-trust, emotional steadiness, and clarity about what matters most in midlife.
Strong Fit Contexts
You may be a strong fit for my practice if you are:
- A woman in midlife, perimenopause, or menopause experiencing emotional, relational, or identity shifts
- Feeling anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, or unlike your former self
- Navigating role changes related to parenting, empty nesting, caregiving, career transitions, long-term relationships, or divorce
- Noticing old trauma responses resurfacing during periods of stress or transition
- Struggling with self-criticism, people-pleasing, or long-standing relational patterns
- Seeking thoughtful, steady psychotherapy rather than quick fixes or directive coaching
Not the Right Fit (Scope & Exclusions)
To ensure safety and appropriate care, I may not be the right fit if:
- You are seeking crisis or emergency mental health services
- You require inpatient, residential, or intensive outpatient treatment
- You are looking for therapy for a minor (under 18)
- You are seeking treatment for severe, unmanaged substance use disorders
- You are seeking therapy for a male client (I work exclusively with adult women)
If your needs fall outside my scope, I can help guide you toward more appropriate resources.
Therapeutic Approach & Style
My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Our work together is intended to help you feel safe, comfortable, seen, and supported, while gently encouraging insight and emotional honesty.
Therapy Approaches I Integrate
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to support sleep difficulties, including trouble falling or staying asleep
- Trauma-informed care, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), to explore how past experiences continue to influence present-day emotional and relational patterns
- Mindfulness-based and strengths-focused strategies to support nervous system regulation, self-awareness, and resilience
These approaches are used within an outpatient psychotherapy framework and are adapted to each client’s readiness, stability, and goals.
Therapy with me emphasizes emotional safety, curiosity, and developing a deeper understanding of yourself over time.
